Birth of Mir Mosharraf Hossain, the language writer of Bengali prose- Mir Mosharraf Hossain was born on 13 November 1848 in Lahinipara village of Kumarkhali police station in Kushtia district to an aristocratic Syed family. The title 'Mir' was derived from his ancestor.

Literary Mir Mosharraf Hossain: - The first Bengali Muslim novelist and playwright and biographer. 175 AD: The first collection of satirical prose written by a Muslim in Bengali literature. The first magazine edited by Mir Mosharraf Hossain was "Ajijan Nehar". Later, in 1890, he edited a magazine called "Hitkari".

At the age of eighteen, he married Azizunnesa, the daughter of his father's friend.
Death
Mir Mosharraf Hossain passed away in 1912 while he was the manager of Delduar Estate. He was buried at Padmadi.
